KKU General Education Hosts GE Art Creative and Innovation Exhibition, Showcasing Student Works from Four Courses

On 6 March 2026, from 17:00 to 20:00 hrs, Khon Kaen University’s General Education Institute organised the “GE Art Creative and Innovation” exhibition at Poj Sarasin Building, Khon Kaen University. The event served as a platform for students from four courses—GE519741 Budding Entrepreneur, GE519742 Creative Innovation for Sustainable Development Goals, GE161892 Creative Thinking Art, and GE363789 Innovative Entrepreneurship—to showcase their work. The exhibition attracted over 500 attendees, including students and interested members of the public.

The exhibition featured a diverse range of multifaceted works, including:

  • A marketplace area for creative products developed by students to generate real income.
  • A display of posters and innovative projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aimed at creating a better world.
  • A showcase of unique and contemporary art performances.

Assistant Professor Anucha Somabut, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Education and Acting Director of the General Education Institute, stated, “This exhibition serves as a platform for integrating knowledge from four distinct courses. Students have presented creative ideas, innovations that respond to societal needs, business models that genuinely add value, and artistic works that reflect the identity and creativity of the new generation. This exchange of knowledge not only benefits the exhibitors but also inspires visitors by demonstrating the potential of young people to create innovations that contribute to sustainable development.”

Miss Supreeda Srikuta, a first-year student from the Faculty of Public Health, remarked, “Having the opportunity to exhibit our coursework alongside friends from other courses has been invaluable. It has opened up new perspectives by allowing us to see the creative works and distinct concepts from other groups. This has given me new inspiration and ideas for future development.” She added, “Beyond the enjoyable activities, the event provided a stage for me and my friends to fully demonstrate our capabilities and practise our problem-solving skills, which has been a very valuable experience.”

The GE Art Creative and Innovation exhibition reflects Khon Kaen University’s commitment to developing students into creative thinkers with entrepreneurial capabilities and strong awareness of sustainable development, through the integration of knowledge from multiple disciplines.

The event was filled with a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, as visitors explored innovative projects and creative products while student exhibitors enthusiastically presented their work. Cultural and artistic performances added colour and energy to the exhibition, creating a space for learning and inspiration that will lead to innovations that meaningfully respond to the needs of society and the community.
