On 18 March 2025, at Lecture Room G on the G Floor of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Jureerat Daduang, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Patcharaporn Tippayawat, Vice Dean for Research, and Assistant Professor Molin Wongwattanakul, PhD, Director of the Center for Innovation and Standard in Medical Technology and Physical Therapy (CISMaP), welcomed a delegation from the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS). The delegation was led by Suwit Wibulpolprasert, MD, Chairperson of the Committee for Driving Policy and Scaling Up Thai Medical and Health Innovations to the Public Market.
During the meeting, Associate Professor Daduang presented an overview of the faculty’s research and innovation capabilities, with a particular focus on the operations of the CISMaP Innovation Centre, which aims to create medical knowledge and innovations with practical applications.
A key research innovation titled “Production of Antibodies for an NGAL Protein Test Kit for Screening Acute Kidney Injury” was presented by Associate Professor Nicha Charoensri. This research holds significant potential for development and integration into the public health system.
Associate Professor Jureerat Daduang remarked that the meeting was a vital opportunity to discuss strategies for advancing the NGAL protein test kit for acute kidney injury screening, with the goal of having it included in the National Innovation List and the National Health Security system. Following the discussion, the delegation was given a tour of the antibody production process for the test kit at Research Room 2, located on the second floor of the Faculty.
The objective of this collaboration is to promote research, knowledge creation, and the development of innovations in life science products and services. This serves as a crucial mechanism for driving Thailand’s medical and health innovations towards commercial use, expanding into the ASEAN market, and sustainably elevating the Thai life sciences industry to international standards.
