Graduate School Personnel Participated in Basic Fire Prevention and Control Training and Basic Life Support (CPR) to Enhance Emergency Preparedness

On April 1, 2026, personnel from the Graduate School and other units within the Bimala Kalakicha Building participated in a training program on basic fire prevention and control, as well as basic life support (CPR), at Dusita Conference Room, Office of Academic Service. The training aimed to strengthen workplace safety skills, covering fire prevention, use of firefighting equipment, emergency evacuation procedures, and hands-on practice in CPR and emergency response, which are essential skills for assisting oneself and others in critical situations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuchat Kamollerd, DVM, Director of the Office of Academic Service, delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a lecture from Mr. Morrakot Subin, Acting Director of the Security Division, on disaster risk management in high-rise buildings and business continuity management (BCM). Mr. Wiboonsilk Pinitmontree, Head of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, then conducted a lecture and group practical session on basic fire prevention and firefighting skills. In the afternoon, the program continued with station-based learning sessions led by speakers from the Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast. The sessions were divided into two stations: Fundamental knowledge of basic life support (CPR) and Demonstration of CPR procedures and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) Participants were then divided into groups to practice and undergo assessments on CPR and AED usage.

This training provided participants with valuable knowledge and direct experience from experts, along with practical skills using standard equipment. It significantly contributes to fostering a safe working environment and enhancing preparedness for potential emergency situations in the future.
