Khon Kaen University participated in the wreath-laying ceremony with fresh flowers to pay royal homage on the occasion of “King Rama I Memorial Day and Chakri Dynasty Day,” to commemorate the great benevolence of the first king of the Chakri Dynasty and to express loyalty to the monarchy.
At 09:00 a.m., in the Kaen Mueang Meeting Room, 1st Floor, Khon Kaen Provincial Hall, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Nattasomol Thanakulrangsrit, Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Communications, acting on behalf of the President, accompanied by staff from the Corporate Communications Division. Attend the wreath-laying ceremony to pay royal homage before the portrait of King Rama I on Chakri Memorial Day in 2026.
Mr. Khajornkiat Rakpanichmanee, the Governor of Khon Kaen Province, presided over the ceremony. Leaders from government agencies, state enterprises, local administrative organizations, and educational institutions gathered to offer floral tributes and deliver speeches of gratitude, honoring His Majesty’s historical protection and guidance, which have brought lasting peace and prosperity to the nation.
For “King Rama I Memorial Day and Chakri Dynasty Memorial Day,” or “Chakri Memorial Day,” which falls on April 6th of every year. On April 6, 1782, His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke the Great was crowned as the first monarch of the Chakri Dynasty and established Bangkok as the capital city. This event marked the beginning of stability and prosperity for the Thai nation, which continues to this day.
The participation in this ceremony reflects Khon Kaen University’s commitment to upholding the royal aspirations and expressing gratitude and loyalty to the revered monarch who has bestowed great virtue upon the nation.
