BANGKOK – In an effort to enhance the legal competency of public servants and local government administrators, Khon Kaen University’s Academic Service Bureau (OAS KKU) recently organized an intensive training program focused on the intricacies of administrative law.
Held from April 1–3, 2026, at the SD Avenue Hotel in Bangkok, the course, titled “Issuing Administrative Orders to Prevent Liability and Administrative Cases for Public Executives,” drew a large nationwide audience of government executives, civil servants, and legal professionals.
The primary objective of the training was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal principles, procedures, and conditions required to issue accurate and legally binding administrative orders. By developing skills to draft fair and transparent directives, the program aims to help officials close legal loopholes and significantly reduce the risk of disputes or lawsuits being brought before the Administrative Court.
The program’s curriculum was distinguished by its roster of high-level legal experts who shared their direct experiences. Keynote speakers and instructors included:
- Dr. Prasat Pongsuwan, President of the Personnel Administration Case Division of the Supreme Administrative Court
- Mr. Sutthiwat Masphan, President of the Supreme Administrative Court
- Assoc. Prof. Wanida Sangsaraphan, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Khon Kaen University
The training utilized a rigorous format that combined theoretical lectures with practical workshops. A major focus was placed on analyzing real-world case studies, allowing attendees to exchange ideas and learn how to effectively apply these legal concepts to their daily official duties.
The initiative received an overwhelming response from a diverse network of agencies across the country. Attendees included representatives from the Department of Livestock Development, provincial industry offices, the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Kasetsart University, Maejo University, various KKU faculties, local municipalities, and leading law firms.
This training program highlights Khon Kaen University’s ongoing commitment to its “Social Devotion” mission.
