The Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University has achieved a historic milestone, winning the Overall Medal Championship at the “K-Nine Games 2026.” The event was held from 9–10 May 2026, at Khon Kaen University, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with energy, camaraderie, and enthusiastic cheers from dental students who travelled from across the country to participate.

As the host for this year’s event, the Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with its Student Union, welcomed dental students from numerous institutions nationwide for the annual “K-Nine Games.” This sporting event is organised by the Dental Student Federation of Thailand to foster relationships, promote unity, and create a shared learning space for the next generation of dentists.     

Throughout the competition, the Khon Kaen University campus was alive with excitement and a strong sense of friendship. Students from all over Thailand competed in a wide range of sports and creative activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and athletics. E-sports also drew significant interest from participants and supporters.

Amidst fierce competition, students from the KKU Faculty of Dentistry demonstrated outstanding skill, ability, and sportsmanship, ultimately earning the Overall Medal Championship. Their performance garnered praise and admiration from all attendees, marking a moment of great pride for the faculty.

The detailed medal results for Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Dentistry are as follows:

Gold Medals:

  • Valorant (E-sports): Phongwat Nilsiri (5th year), Phenphitcha Sappakhun (4th year), Thankhun Priwat (2nd year), Kitchaphum Saimek (4th year), Kunanya Vongvai (5th year), Thittaya Saenbua (5th year), and Narittaton Torsaksiri (4th year).
  • Men’s 4x400m Relay: Chayathorn Komonpakorn (3rd year), Sarit Boonfrueng (3rd year), Sorakrit Sirisak (4th year), and Nanthawit Phakdeewong (4th year).
  • Women’s Doubles Table Tennis: Kanyapak Ketukul and Sirinya Wongnitchakun (5th year).
  • Mixed Doubles Badminton: Naphat Thipsunthornsak and Phongtharin Sirisuksongarphong (2nd year).

Silver Medals:

  • Men’s 4x100m Relay: Piyanan Limpattama-panee (4th year), Narittaton Torsaksiri (4th year), Apaphon Apichonsuk (4th year), and Sarit Boonfrueng (3rd year).
  • Crossword: Tharadon Praphong (5th year).
  • Women’s Singles Table Tennis: Pemika Kachayut (4th year).
  • Mixed Doubles Table Tennis: Pemika Kachayut (4th year) and Sarit Boonfrueng (3rd year).

Bronze Medals:

  • Women’s 100m Dash: Phacharaporn Laohakamin (4th year).
  • Men’s 400m Dash: Chayathorn Komonpakorn (3rd year).
  • Women’s 4x100m Relay: Phacharaporn Laohakamin (4th year), Preeyaporn Pinprapa (2nd year), Pimvipa Chamnanjan (6th year), and Wasinee Chaiaroon (6th year).
  • Men’s Singles Table Tennis: Kunanya Vongvai (5th year).
  • Men’s Doubles Table Tennis: Kunanya Vongvai and Kamonphu Fuengfookhatchawan (5th year).
  • Women’s Singles Badminton: Praewa Arunsaengsilp (5th year).
  • Women’s Doubles Badminton: Nattapimon Kamolsittichai (2nd year) and Punyanuch Phonphandetwittaya (4th year).

The “K-Nine Games 2026” was thus more than a sports competition; it was a platform for friendship, learning, and inspiration that helps shape the next generation of healthcare professionals into individuals with both exceptional skill and a true spirit of sharing.
