Khon Kaen University Hosts Media Open House to Showcase Key Projects Driving Knowledge into Society

Khon Kaen University, through its Legal and Communications Division, organised a media tour of the university’s key projects under the Khon Kaen University Delivers Happiness and Meets Local Media Networks programme on 9 June 2026 at the Sirikunakorn Building. The initiative offered media representatives an opportunity to learn about the progress of the university’s research, innovations, and major strategic projects, and to foster cooperation in disseminating information more widely to the general public.

During the event, the media delegation visited an exhibition showcasing batteries integrated with solar cell systems and inverters — technology available for commercialisation. This innovation represents one of the notable research advances developed by Khon Kaen University to support the adoption of clean energy, strengthen energy security, and extend institutional knowledge for practical applications in both the public and private sectors.

In her opening remarks, Mrs Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Vice President for Legal and Communications, welcomed the media representatives and noted that the site visit had been organised to raise awareness of the university’s role in advancing knowledge, research, and innovation that address national development needs. She also noted that the event offered a platform for exchanging views and recommendations with press professionals, who serve as a vital mechanism for linking beneficial information to the public.

Khon Kaen University remains committed to developing knowledge, technology, and innovations that offer practical utility, particularly in creating economic, social, and environmental value. This is achieved through close collaboration with government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and media networks to advance sustainable development at both regional and national levels.

The event reflects Khon Kaen University’s commitment to proactive communication, building collaborative networks with all media sectors to publicise the university’s research findings, innovations, and institutional advancements.
