Team “Bittersweet” represents Khon Kaen University at the regional business feasibility plan contest in Ubon Ratchathani, showcasing innovative commercialisation of academic research.
From 19 to 20 June 2026, the Khon Kaen University Science Park led a delegation of student representatives to participate in the “14th Research to Market Regional Round (R2M #14).” The business feasibility plan competition, based on institutional research findings, was held at Ubon Hall, Central Ubon Shopping Centre in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Team “Bittersweet,” comprising students from the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, represented Khon Kaen University (KKU) at the event.
The Research to Market (R2M) project is a business feasibility plan competition designed to encourage students to practically apply academic research to commercial ventures. This regional competition was organised under the auspices of the Northeastern Science Park Network, which consists of four leading regional universities: Khon Kaen University, Mahasarakham University, Suranaree University of Technology, and Ubon Ratchathani University.
Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University, stated:
“The Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University extends its congratulations to Team Bittersweet for being selected as the university’s representatives in the regional round of the 14th Research to Market competition. This platform allows students to integrate their knowledge of economics and business administration to analyse commercial feasibility — a skill aligned with our faculty’s mission to develop high-quality graduates ready for the modern business world.”
The Dean further noted:
“The R2M competition is an excellent opportunity for students to develop innovative thinking, sharpen market analysis skills, and pitch professional concepts to an expert panel of judges — all of which are valuable skills for professional life.
