The annual event focuses on medical law, patient safety, and best practices to drive the centre towards advanced healthcare accreditation.
The Queen Sirikit Heart Centre of the Northeast, Khon Kaen University (KKU), recently organised the “QSHC Quality Day 2026”. Assistant Professor Kreingsak Ngamsangsirisup, Assistant Director for Hospital Quality Development, presided over the opening ceremony. Designed to deepen knowledge of medical law and organisational quality improvement, the event brought together practitioners to exchange practical best practices, driving operational development and elevating patient care standards.
The event ran from 6 to 7 July 2026 at the Noppadol Thongso Phit Meeting Room, on the third floor of the Queen Sirikit Heart Centre. The two-day programme drew medical professionals and healthcare staff committed to continuous quality improvement within the institution.
A key highlight of the event was a special lecture entitled “Basic Law, Framework of Responsibility for Medical Personnel, and Informed Consent with Medical Case Studies”, delivered by Dr. Panjaporn Sintub of the Faculty of Law, Khon Kaen University. Additionally, Mrs. Orasa Phuphut, Head of the Hospital Quality Development Department at the Queen Sirikit Heart Centre, outlined the strategic direction for organisational quality development.
The event also featured an award ceremony recognising departments and personnel who took part in the Safety Culture survey, alongside five outstanding best-practice presentations demonstrating creative concepts and tangible benefits for patient care.
This initiative plays a vital role in driving the Queen Sirikit Heart Centre towards its goal of becoming a leading regional hub for cardiovascular diseases. The knowledge and practices shared during the event will help prepare the institution for Joint Commission International (JCI) Re-accreditation in 2027 and for Advanced Hospital Accreditation (Advanced HA) thereafter, in keeping with the university’s commitment to medical excellence and social contribution.
