On Wednesday, 8 July 2026, Khon Kaen University (KKU) welcomed a delegation of executives and personnel from Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) for a study visit and knowledge exchange on organisational management. Asst. Prof. Tala Thammaroj, M.D., Vice President for Administration at KKU, delivered the welcoming address at the Sarasin Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Sirikunakorn Building at Khon Kaen University.
The study visit served as a platform for both institutions to share expertise on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management. Key topics of discussion included career advancement guidelines for operational staff, welfare and benefits systems for university employees, annual budget administration, the implementation of university strategic plans, and the formulation of Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Asst. Prof. Thammaroj stated that KKU has consistently maintained efficient organisational management, particularly in aligning its annual strategic plans with various institutional performance indicators. He emphasised that this visit aimed to share KKU’s expertise in strategy and budgeting so that SUT could adapt these practices for greater institutional efficiency. He expressed confidence that the initiative would foster strong, long-term cooperation between the two universities.
Assoc. Prof. Chaiwat Raksakulpiwat, Ph.D., Vice President for Strategy and Budget at Suranaree University of Technology, added that SUT recognises KKU as a leading national higher education institution with outstanding competence in university administration, evidenced by its continuous national recognition and awards for organisational management. SUT intends to utilize the valuable insights and experiences gained from KKU to optimise its own strategic and budgetary planning, ultimately establishing a highly effective institutional management model.
This engagement represents a significant step in strengthening academic and administrative relations between the two universities. Both KKU and SUT envision that this collaboration will pave the way for sustainable mutual development, continuous knowledge sharing, and enhanced operational excellence in higher education administration.
