The Faculty of Technology at Khon Kaen University (KKU) proudly congratulates Mr. Krittaphon Phaiboon and Ms. Prathairat Thanasin, students in the Culinary Science and Technology Programme, competing under the name “Team Playground”. The duo outshone contestants from higher education institutions across the country to secure a place among the top 10 finalists advancing to the final round of the Gourmet & Cuisine Young Chef 2026, the most prestigious national culinary arts platform for university students.
Following this milestone achievement, the team will appear at the official press conference introducing the top 10 national finalists. The event will take place on 23 July 2026 at the Eden Zone, 1st Floor, CentralWorld Shopping Complex.
Dr. Pakkanan Charoensri, a lecturer in the Culinary Science and Technology Programme at the Faculty of Technology, stated that this success stems from the faculty’s dedication to nurturing and developing student potential, resulting in an entry highly praised by a panel of distinguished national experts. Dr. Charoensri highlighted that Team Playground’s outstanding performance reflects a systematic integration of academic knowledge, professional skills, creativity, and teamwork, which are the defining characteristics of students at the Faculty of Technology at Khon Kaen University.
