The bilateral study visit aims to enhance academic collaboration, research initiatives, and quality assurance standards between the two leading institutions.
On 14 July 2026, the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted a study visit and knowledge-sharing session for an executive delegation from the Faculty of Economics at Kasetsart University. Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University, presided over the welcoming ceremony. The Kasetsart University delegates were warmly received by the Faculty’s administrative team and faculty members at the Faculty of Economics building, Khon Kaen University.
The primary objective of this exchange programme was to facilitate the sharing of best practices in strategic administration, academic research, educational quality assurance—specifically under the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) and ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) frameworks—and student development through co-curricular activities. The visit also aimed to strengthen institutional ties, paving the way for future collaborative projects and integrated academic initiatives between the two universities.

Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University, stated:
“On behalf of the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University, I would like to extend our warmest welcome to the executive delegation from the Faculty of Economics, Kasetsart University. Becoming part of an academic network dedicated to strengthening economics education is a vital milestone for both of our institutions. We are delighted to collaborate under the theme of ‘Sharing Knowledge, Building Networks, and Striving for Excellence,’ which represents our shared commitment to elevating the standard of economics education in Thailand.”
The Dean further emphasised:
“This study visit is carefully structured to cover essential aspects of institutional development, including organisational management, research promotion, and quality assurance under EdPEx and AUN-QA criteria. Furthermore, our discussions on student development through co-curricular activities will help equip our students with the necessary skills and competencies for their future careers. Collaborative partnerships between educational institutions are key to driving the sustainable advancement of economics in Thailand. I hope today’s exchange yields fruitful outcomes that allow both of our organisations to grow together.”
The exchange event featured a comprehensive programme of presentations and interactive discussions. Key sessions included presentations on “Organisational Management and Human Resource Development,” strategic discussions on “Promoting and Supporting Academic Research,” and insights into “Implementing Educational Quality Assurance under EdPEx and AUN-QA.” The programme also addressed “Student Development Pathways through Co-curricular Activities” and concluded with an official tour of the Faculty of Economics facilities to foster closer academic networking and institutional friendship.
