The annual event driving personnel capability and sustainable growth showcased outstanding Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) innovations tailored to global healthcare standards.
On 14 July 2026, Queen Sirikit Heart Centre (QSHC), part of the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, organised “HRD HR Day 2026” under the theme “Heart to Hub: Smart Soul & Future Growth 2026”. The event aimed to create an engaging learning environment, renew the physical and mental well-being of staff, and enhance human resource capabilities to ensure sustainable institutional growth. Assoc. Prof. Pattarapong Makarawate, M.D., M.Sc., FHRS, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University and Director of Queen Sirikit Heart Centre, presided over the official opening ceremony.
The programme featured a special talk titled “Social Security Rights: Safeguarding the Working Class”, delivered by representatives from the Khon Kaen Provincial Social Security Office, which gave updates on employee benefits, health security, and workplace well-being. The event also hosted wellness-promoting exhibition booths, creative team-building activities, and educational games, creating a collaborative and lively learning environment for participants throughout the day.
A major highlight of the event was the CQI Showcase and the announcement of the winners of the CQI Competition 2026. This initiative showcases practical workplace improvements aligned with the centre’s core corporate values, known as QSHC (Quality, Safety, Healthy & Humanity, and Creativity). The competition drew strong engagement this year, with 76 project submissions, split into two main categories: 60 clinical and healthcare service projects (Front Office) and 16 general administrative support projects (Back Office), competing for total cash prizes exceeding 40,000 Baht.
This annual gathering reflects the centre’s ongoing commitment to human capital development alongside systematic process optimisation. By cultivating a culture of continuous learning and active innovation, the centre inspires its workforce to raise the standards of cardiovascular healthcare services.
These efforts also support the strategic mission of Khon Kaen University (KKU) to advance a creative economy and social contribution. By empowering its personnel, Queen Sirikit Heart Centre continues to strengthen its position as a leading healthcare institution prepared to meet future global challenges and grow alongside the community.
