Khon Kaen University and Nakhon Phanom University collaborate to exchange best practices in student affairs, foster leadership, and build sustainable institutional networks.
On Friday, 17 July 2026, the Faculty of Agriculture at Khon Kaen University (KKU) welcomed a delegation of executives, faculty members, staff, and students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University. The study visit aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange regarding student development, share best practices, and establish a collaborative student affairs network between the two institutions. The event took place in Room 7013, AG07 Building, Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University. Associate Professor Nuntawoot Jongrungklang, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Education at the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU, welcomed attendees and introduced the faculty executives, lecturers, and staff.
Associate Professor Jongrungklang stated that the Faculty of Agriculture was immensely pleased to host the delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University. He emphasised that the visit served as a vital platform for academic collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices in student affairs between the two universities.
Furthermore, the Associate Dean highlighted that the Faculty of Agriculture prioritises comprehensive student development, encompassing academic excellence, professional skills, leadership, volunteerism, arts and culture, and the cultivation of desirable graduate attributes. This exchange session offers an excellent opportunity to improve the efficiency of student affairs operations and to foster strong relationships among students and staff. In doing so, it paves the way for robust, sustainable collaboration in the future.
The event featured introductions of executives, faculty, and staff from the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University, followed by presentations on student development policies and operations from both institutions. Representing Khon Kaen University, Lecturer Prakasit Duangpapeng, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Student Development and Alumni Relations, delivered a presentation on systematic approaches to developing student potential.
Lecturer Duangpapeng stated that modern student development must combine holistic growth with life and career skills. The Faculty of Agriculture drives its student development operations through a systematic process, adopting the faculty student identity “AGGIE EGGS” as a core framework aligned with the university’s “EGGS” attributes. This initiative aims to produce graduates possessing complete knowledge, skills, and ethics under the concept: “Faculty of Agriculture students are highly adaptable, compassionate, knowledgeable, ethically creative, entrepreneurially minded, and globally visionary, striving towards sustainable growth.” This framework is supported by leadership cultivation, professional skill development, student union activities, volunteerism, cultural preservation, and engagement among students, alumni, and the faculty.
Additionally, the student unions of both institutions presented overviews of their operations, exchanging ideas on organising student activities. This was followed by a token exchange ceremony, a group photograph session, and ice-breaking group activities to strengthen relationships among participants.
During the final session, students from both universities joined group discussions on various topics, including freshers’ welcoming activities, professional skill competitions, cultural activities, and volunteer initiatives. Each group subsequently presented their findings, providing a meaningful platform to share experiences, inspire new ideas, and enhance the efficacy of future student activities.
This study visit and knowledge exchange between the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University, and the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University, reflects a shared commitment to academic cooperation and student development. Through the exchange of insights and best practices, this initiative will elevate the quality of student support and foster a resilient network among higher education institutions.
