The Nursing Division hosts specialised training to bolster nurses’ clinical competence in rapid cardiac assessment and emergency care.

On 20 July 2026, the Nursing Division of the Queen Sirikit Heart Centre of Northern Thailand (QSHC) organised the “EKG Interpreter & Nursing Management 2026” project. The initiative aimed to enhance nurses’ knowledge and practical skills in electrocardiogram (EKG) reading and interpretation, enabling accurate, rapid, and efficient assessment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.

The training programme focused on bridging theoretical knowledge with clinical practice through the analysis of EKG tracings from real-world case studies. Key topics included identifying and classifying cardiac arrhythmias, evaluating high-risk cardiac patients, and applying appropriate defibrillation guidelines. A team of expert instructors from QSHC CPR delivered lectures and shared clinical insights, discussing decision-making strategies for emergency situations. Their aim was to instil confidence in participants, enabling them to apply these skills effectively in patient care.

This project reflects the Nursing Division’s vision of continuous personnel development and the elevation of nursing care quality in alignment with professional standards. Ultimately, the initiative aims to ensure maximum patient safety and reinforce staff readiness to manage critical cardiac events under any circumstances.
