The Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University, together with its Global Research and Learning Center for GMS Development and Related Economic Regions (GMS-RLC), extends its congratulations to Associate Professor Worawee Saengarwut on receiving the Top 300 Grant in collaboration with a leading international institution for fiscal year 2026.
This Top 300 Grant stems from academic collaboration between the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University, and Associate Professor Dr. Yalei Zhai, an expert from Kyoto University, Japan. The objective is to promote knowledge exchange and international academic cooperation, advance research related to the development of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and related economic regions, and enhance the academic capacity of faculty members and researchers at the Faculty of Economics to meet international standards.
Associate Professor Worawee Saengarwut shared her feelings on receiving this grant, saying: “I feel honoured and delighted to receive the Top 300 Grant to conduct this project together with Associate Professor Dr. Yalei Zhai from Kyoto University, a world-leading institution. This collaboration presents an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience, and diverse academic perspectives, which will lead to quality research that benefits the development of the Mekong Subregion.”
She further added: “I would like to thank the Faculty of Economics, the Global Research and Learning Center for GMS Development and Related Economic Regions (GMS-RLC), and everyone who contributed to making this project a reality. The project will run from 13 to 17 September 2026. Activities will include knowledge exchange, discussions on collaborative research directions, and joint academic sessions between Associate Professor Worawee Saengarwut and Associate Professor Dr. Yalei Zhai from Kyoto University, Japan.
