On 6 August 2026, from 13:00 to 16:00 hrs, the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, underwent a peer evaluation of laboratory safety at the Fermentation Research Center for Value-Added Agricultural Products (FerVAAP).

Assoc. Prof. Pornthap Thanonkeo, Ph.D., Director of the FerVAAP Research Center, delivered a welcome address to the evaluation committee. Following this, Assoc. Prof. Apilak Salakkam, Ph.D., Laboratory Head, presented the laboratory’s safety performance results. The committee then conducted an on-site visit and provided a summary with recommendations for further improvement.

Dr. Kornchanok Kaenkham, Lead Evaluator, and Ms. Yachapha Phattiyaphuttapong, Committee Member, both from Ubon Ratchathani University, led the evaluation committee, alongside Srirat Suwannakom, Central Observer from Khon Kaen University.

This assessment reflects the Faculty of Technology’s strong commitment to elevating its laboratory safety standards to international levels. It aligns with the organisation’s vision of being a leading institution in creating social and commercial innovations, and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding continuous innovation, safety, and quality research.
