On Friday, 14 August 2026, Khon Kaen University’s Project for the Promotion of Virtue and Ethics, under the Office of the President, organised the “Dharma Tour”, taking staff on a visit to Wat Tha Sabang in Roi Et Province. The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Natsomol Thanakul Rangsrit, Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Communications, and brought together participating staff members to engage in religious practices, learn Buddhist principles, and pursue spiritual development alongside their professional duties.

On this occasion, the Khon Kaen University delegation paid their respects and listened to a Dharma talk by the Venerable Phra Thep Vachrawitakham (Anusorn Paphassaro) at Wat Tha Sabang, while also taking part in Buddhist activities and practising the Dharma as part of the project.

The participants also jointly offered candles marking Buddhist Lent and presented alms to the monks, helping preserve tradition and support Buddhism, while giving staff an opportunity to perform good deeds and accumulate merit together during the Lent season.

The “Dhamma Journey” programme was designed to give staff the chance to engage with the fundamental principles of Buddhism, practise mindfulness and concentration, and cultivate their minds, while applying these principles to their daily lives and work. This is expected to foster an organisational culture that promotes virtue, ethical conduct, and harmonious coexistence.

This event also reflects Khon Kaen University’s commitment to the all-round development of its staff, both professionally and in their quality of life, by giving them the chance to learn and grow through Buddhist activities, as well as to help preserve and perpetuate Thailand’s noble traditions.
