On 28 August 2026, the Student Affairs and Sustainable Society Section of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, ran a hands-on workshop titled “AI in Learning Design: STEM Projects and Integrated Learning for Future Teachers” at the ED-TEAL Room, Faculty of Education.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Wayu Kanjanasorn, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Sustainable Society, representing the Dean of the Faculty of Education, who delivered an inspiring opening address to participants. Phattaraporn Pondee, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for Student Development and Alumni Relations, presented an overview of the project’s objectives. The event also featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panrasee Ritthipravat from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, as the keynote speaker and workshop facilitator.

During the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Wayu Kanjanasorn, Ph.D., stated:

“Today’s workshop aims to encourage students to learn through hands-on practice, enhance their creative thinking and innovation design, and effectively integrate AI and STEM into learning management. This prepares them to become visionary educators, creative designers, and educational innovators. I firmly believe this activity will open new perspectives, impart practical knowledge, skills, and inspiration, and serve as a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge among the speaker, faculty members, and students to advance learning management that responds to learners and the future educational landscape.”

The workshop was organised to empower students to apply artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge in creating STEM projects, foster teamwork and collaboration, nurture the spirit of teaching, and develop 21st-century learning and innovation skills. Thirty undergraduate and graduate students from various programmes across the Faculty of Education took part in the workshop’s interactive sessions.
