The Toyota Thailand Foundation has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to educational equity, awarding its 2026 grants to academic institutions and charitable organisations, nationwide as part of the “TOYOTA GIVING: Driving Thailand Towards Sustainability” initiative.
The annual grant presentation ceremony convened at Toyota ALIVE, Bang Na, on Wednesday, 26 August 2026. Presiding over the event were Mr. Pramon Sutivong, Chairman of the Toyota Thailand Foundation, alongside Mr. Kalin Sarasin, Chairman of the Board of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., and Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of the company. In total, the ceremony distributed 22,050,000 Baht in grants.
For 2026, the Toyota Thailand Foundation expanded its regional coverage from four to five regions nationwide. It allocated 22,050,000 Baht to advance education and improve quality of life via scholarships and social development programmes. Within this framework, the Foundation presented 2,300,000 Baht in educational support to Khon Kaen University for scholarships benefiting underprivileged children and youth in the North-Eastern region. Assoc. Prof. Prapansak Chaveerach, D.V.M., Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, represented KKU at the ceremony.
Over the past 34 years, the Foundation has committed its resources to widening educational access, reducing systemic inequality, enhancing quality of life, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration to build a resilient society. Its initiatives focus on equipping young people with foundational knowledge, essential life skills, and the adaptability required to navigate rapid technological, economic, and social change.
The Foundation pursues three core objectives: broadening educational opportunities for youth across all academic levels and disciplines; enhancing the quality of life for children, youth, and persons with disabilities while supporting environmental conservation; and helping charitable organisations carry out public benefit projects.
Through its ongoing partnership with Khon Kaen University, the Toyota Thailand Foundation supports KKU’s mission of social engagement, community development, and equal educational access for students across the North-Eastern region.
