On 9 September 2026, the College of Graduate Study in Management, Khon Kaen University (MBA KKU), in collaboration with its Alumni Association and current students, organised a merit-making alms-giving and Phapa (robe-offering) ceremony to mark the College’s 33rd founding anniversary. The event was held in front of the Sunthorn-Araya Arunanondchai Building, College of Graduate Study in Management. Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Vice President for Legal and Communications, presided over the ceremony, attended by university executives, faculty members, staff, alumni, current students, and Buddhist devotees.

Proceedings began at 07:00 when Dr. Sakchai Jarernsiripornkul, Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management, led the executive team, faculty, and staff in welcoming attendees. Participants offered morning alms to Venerable Luang Por Saithong Techadhammo and nine monks from Wat Pa Huai Kum, Kaset Sombun District, Chaiyaphum Province, to invoke auspicious blessings. After the alms-giving, morning meals were offered, followed by the formal Phapa robe-offering ceremony to Venerable Luang Por Saithong Techadhammo.

The merit-making ceremony aimed to bring auspiciousness as MBA KKU enters its 33rd year and to uphold Khon Kaen University’s vision as a “Devoted University for Society”. All funds raised during the Phapa ceremony went toward the construction of Ban Phue Hospital in Ban Phue District, Udon Thani Province. This initiative aims to improve healthcare infrastructure and expand access to medical treatment for nearby residents.

The event reflected the unity and cooperation of the Khon Kaen University community, alumni networks, and the general public to create lasting benefits for society.
