The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Khon Kaen University hosted the PharmQuiz KKU 2026 competition to give secondary school students hands-on academic challenges and inspire them to pursue further study in pharmaceutical sciences.
The KKU Pharmacy Academic Quiz Competition (PharmQuiz KKU 2026), staged on 6 September 2026 at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU), brought together 80 qualified secondary school teams on site to test their pharmaceutical knowledge and practical skills, while offering them first-hand experience of a higher education environment.
The competition unfolded over a dynamic, rigorous, and inspiring series of rounds. In the opening stage, the 80 qualifying teams tackled multiple-choice questions (MCQs) alongside practical assessments in the ‘LAB Clink’ laboratory setting. The top 24 teams then advanced to a round of critical analysis and problem-solving based on simulated clinical case studies. The event culminated in a main-stage final, where contestants competed in a high-speed buzzer quiz to determine the winners.
Beyond the academic challenges, participants took part in interactive workshops designed to spark creative interest in natural products. In a herbal inhaler workshop, students blended custom scents from authentic natural ingredients, while a glass-bottle herbal arrangement activity in the ‘Pharm Forest’ area let them craft unique botanical art pieces. The event also featured a ‘Pharm Talk & Educational Guidance’ session, giving secondary school students an informal opportunity to learn about student life from current pharmacy undergraduates and receive guidance on preparing portfolios for university admission.
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, KKU, congratulates all award-winning teams and commends every contestant for the exceptional potential, intellectual enthusiasm, and creativity they demonstrated throughout the competition.
