Sport and Exercise Science Program of the Graduate School holds a 2022 seminar to promote learning and relationship

Saturday April 30, 2022 – The Sport and Exercise Science Program, a joint program of the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University held a 2022 seminar under the Learning and Relationship Promotion Project. The activity was organized in a hybrid style (both online by Zoom and on-site) from 8:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. at Bimala Kalagicha Building. Assoc. Prof. Apiwan Manimanakorn, Ph.D., Chairman of the Sport and Exercise Science Program welcomed the participants and delivered an opening speech. Next, Prof. Surasak Wongratanacheewin, Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School gave a welcoming address to the participating students. Attending the event were Assoc. Prof. Pongsakorn Panratanasin, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Administration, Planning and Quality Development and Asst. Prof. Kornchawan Chaipha, Ph.D., Assistant to the Dean for Information. The welcoming session was followed by a Bai Sri Su Khwan ceremony and presenting of certification to the students and those who have brought reputation to the program.

The next session of the seminar featured: the introduction and public relation of the program by Asst. Prof. Khurusat Khoonkan, Ph.D., a Program Administration Committee member of the Sport and Exercise Science Program; a talk on “Introduction to Learning for Students and Approach towards Academic Positions” by Assoc. Prof. Narumon Leelayuwat and Assoc. Prof. Wichai Ungpinitpong, Ph.D.; and another talk on “The Role and Future of the Sport and Exercise Science” by Ajarn Ekkawit Swaengphon, a national athlete team coach.

The afternoon session included a relationship-building activity. The seminar ended with presentation of awards to participants and transfer of the program flag. There were over 30 participants joining.

The Sport and Exercise Science Program is a joint program that is analytically operated under the Graduate School with the objectives to set the framework of the programs that have market demand, to support collaboration among faculties, to develop joint programs or central courses at the graduate level, to develop the efficient management of joint programs and the instruction of these programs, to administer and manage central courses of joint programs at the graduate level that will lead to research development from integration of different fields. The target of organizing a joint program is to promote more programs of this type at the graduate level, with the administrative and management system that allows common use of resources of the University. In the academic year 2022, there are altogether 7 joint programs run by the Graduate School.
