KKU runs Cooperative Education Supervisor course to reach international level

Office of Academic Development Administration, Khon Kaen University organized a special training course for cooperative education supervisors to prepare KKU towards the international level.

      On Saturday March 18, 2017, at Barirak Room, 8th Floor V-wish Hotel Khon Kaen; Office of Academic Development Administration, Khon Kaen University organized a workshop to train cooperative education supervisors. Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodpakdee, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Communications chaired the opening ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapansak Chaweerat, Office of Academic Development Administration Director reported the project objectives. The event was honored to welcome Professor Dr. Vijit Srisa-an President of Thailand Cooperative Education, who kindly gave a talk on Cooperative Education System and Development of Thai Cooperative Education. Over 100 supervisor-to-be lecturers from all faculties attended.

        Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodpakdee, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Communications, Khon Kaen University explained that Khon Kaen University has been approved of the training curriculum 2016 for cooperative education supervisors, which underwent development so that it incorporated the content and topics associated to the policy, standards, and implementation of Office of Higher Education Commission. The curriculum also agrees with cooperative education instruction and is integrated with all relevant units. This is very important in preparing the supervisors or lecturers working along this line so that they are acknowledged, have capacities, skills and good attitudes, ready to solve students’ various problems while they are performing their practicum both domestically and abroad.

        Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapansak Chaweerat, Office of Academic Development Administration Director reported that the training course for the 4th group of “Cooperative Education Supervisors” aims at developing capacities, skills and good attitudes as a supervisor of cooperative education students. The course supplements knowledge and understanding of the instructional process, operation, and good practices that the supervisors can apply in their supervision and teaching. Finally, the training also builds a network of cooperative education supervisors and mentors.

         Professor Dr. Vijit Srisa-an President of Thailand Cooperative Education kindly joined the forum on Thai Cooperative Education System with Assoc. Prof. Pitsanu Jiawkhun, Vice President of Office of Education Quality Development Office, Chiangmai University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-ad, Acting Vice President for University Council Affairs and Director of Cooperative Education Center and Professional Development, Walailak University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Sumpradit, Assistant to the President in Academic Affairs, Naresuan University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee Nontasak, an expert from Burapa University and President of the Eastern Cooperative Education Network Sub-Committee; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumana Neera, Deputy Director, Office of Academic Development Administration, Khon Kaen University; Khun Attapol Laokajorn, General Manager of Thien Phuoc Manufacturing & Trading Co., LTD., Vietnam; Khun Rungrote Tantiwetapikul, Deputy Managing Director, Human Resource Development and Administration Office, Betagro (Public Company) Thailand; and Khun Julalak Khampim, Deputy Director, Pongsawan Bank, Lao PDR.
