Faculty of Education, KKU, organized an international conference, APEC&ICER 2017, a venue for world scholars to exchange educational research studies

                Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, organized the ICER 2017 or the 12th APEC-Khon Kaen International Symposium and the 10th International Conference on Educational Research (ICER) on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the faculty. The conference was a venue for scholars, researchers and educators all over the world to learn and share their educational research work. It also aimed at building an international learning network that prepare our nation for the educational challenges in the future. ICER 2017 was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Communication to convey the opening address. Prof. Dr. Maitree Indaraprasitha, Dean of Faculty of Education conveyed a reporting speech. The event was collaborated by the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong; Mindanao State University-Illigan Institute of Technology, the Philippines; State University of Surabaya, Indonesia; Central University of Technology, Free State, South Africa; Thailand Council of Deans of Education and the 16th Group of Education Dean Meeting. The event took place at Saisuree Jutikul Conference Room, Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, on September 9-12, 2017.

                Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee said, “An international conference that is joined by scholars, educators, researchers from 15 countries in this APEC and ICER demonstrates your interest and intention to learn and share as well as develop bodies of knowledge in order to step towards the sustainable development society. Your participation and support is another sign of success according to the goal of educational development for a better society in the future.”


The conference featured two major parts. The first part included lectures by education experts from abroad and the second was research presentation of those who submitted their work to be considered by the committee before publishing in the proceeding. The presentation was separated into groups based on the topics of different areas. Besides, there were poster exhibitions of different programs of the faculty and relevant institutes.
