Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Khon Kaen University joining with the Committee for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education (CCPE) and Khon Kaen University Pharmaceutical Science Alumni Association organized a conference on present pharmacological knowledge for pharmaceutical care patients, “Pharm KKU 2017” from November 11-12, 2017 at Conference Room 3214, Building 3, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Khon Kaen University. The first day conference was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paiboon Daosodsai, Dean of the faculty to preside over the opening ceremony and give the opening address. The conference was attended by 60 lecturers from the faculty and pharmacists and 35 alumni. Attendants all received 11 credits for the continuing pharmaceutical education (CPE).

The conference featured lectures on the approaches of pharmaceutical profession’s patient care. At present, pharmacology is the profession relatively close to the community, especially the pharmaceutical care pharmacists. The majority of people prefer to go to the nearest pharmacist when they have health complaints. Therefore, if a pharmacist is able to provide effective pharmaceutical care to patients having various diseases with satisfactory results, then the pharmacist can be dependable by his or her community. Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Khon Kaen University thus arranged this conference as the continuing education in pharmaceutical science, “Pharm KKU 2017” in order to add knowledge to pharmacists in taking patient care. The knowledge is up-to-date and appropriate for the present situations of various diseases.
