KKU’s Office of Academic Services held its board meeting on November 13, 2017 reporting the 2017’s over 300 projects of academic services provided to around 700,000 people, which reaches 91% satisfaction

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Trairatanasirichai, Khon Kaen University President and President of the Office of Academic Service Board presided over the board meeting on November 13, 2017 at Maneetewa Room, 5th Floor, Office of Academic Services. Board members consist of external qualified experts, appointed deans of some faculties, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rakpong Phetkham, Director of the Office is a member and secretary.
Director of the Office of Academic Services presented to the board the 2017 academic service work which totaled 338 projects with over 700,000 people receiving the services. The holistic evaluation of the projects revealed 90.52% of satisfaction, which is divided into: 1) 302 social service projects for public benefits – using 20 million THB of budget and serving over 689,000 people, 92% of which showed their satisfaction towards these projects. 2) 17 continuing education and life-long learning projects serving 757 people and receiving 88% of satisfaction. 3) 2 academic service programs of the Office organized for 151 participants, 86% of whom showed their satisfaction. 4) 17 academic service projects for external organizations arranged for 10,332, 91% of whom showed their satisfaction.
Then the Director of the Office of Academic Services presented the 2018 work plans, which have been allocated and amount of 20 million THB for implementation. The plans are divided into: 1) Technology transfer of Khon Kaen University research outcomes to the community (30%), 2) Sufficiency economy prototype community (51%), 3) Academic collaboration with countries in the Me Kong Sub-region and ASEAN (11%), and 4) Royal Project (8%)
At the end of the meeting, the board members gave suggestions related to academic services to the society, concluded by souvenir giving and group photo.
