“Pun Lun Mor for dad, love, and harmony”

Parents and teachers of Demonstration School of KKU arranged “Pun Lun Mor for Dad, Love and Harmony, SMD Family Bike 2017” in remembrance of King Rama IV, on Thai Fathers’ Day, to encourage cycling.

On December 6th, 2017, Parents and Teachers Club at Demonstration School of KKU (Mor Din Daeng) arranged a project “Pun Lun Mor for Dad, Love, and Harmony, SMD Family Bike 2017” in Remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on His birthday which is Thai Fathers’ Day and National Day. It was to encourage healthy exercise and good relationship among parents and teachers, and to hold a workshop on following traffic rules for safety on the road for bicycles.

              The morning session saw an opening ceremony of the workshop in which Mrs. Saichon Jitpilai, a deputy director gave an opening speech. In the afternoon session, there was an opening ceremony of “Pun Lun Mor for Dad, Love, and Harmony, SMD Family Bike 2017” in which Mrs. Puangthong Poonrueng, a director of Demonstration School of KKU delivered an opening speech and advice to students. Mrs. Nuttheeraporn Wongkonlakijsilp, a chairman of Parents and Teachers Club of Demonstration School of KKU (Mor Din Daeng) gave a report.

              In the afternoon at 15.25, after the opening ceremony, the caravan of nearly 400 bicycles ridden by parents, teachers, alumni, and students, were released from the starting point, through the north gate, Mor Din Daeng shrine, COLA, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Pharmacy, the White Bridge, to Sirikunakorn Building where Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, a vice president for Academic Affairs and Communications, awaited to welcome them. Moreover, the cyclists were warmly welcomed by the administrators including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sommai Priprem, a vice president for Finance and Asset, Assoc. Prof. Piansak  Pakdee, a vice president for Student and Alumnus Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somphong  Sithiprom, an assistant to the President for Campus Security,  and Asst. Prof. Kittapatr Dhabhalabutr, an assistant to the President for Infrastructure.

              Later, the caravan of bicycles left Sirikunakorn Building through Ton Sak Sairahas route, PTT gas station, and Complex, to Demonstration School of KKU. The caravan has raise awareness of using the roads safely, meeting the expectation of Parents and Teachers Club which aim to drive the club creatively and usefully by improving students and the school in all aspects, according to the slogan ‘Ruam Raeng, Ruam Jai, Kawpai Promkan, Ruam Palung Sangsan, San Sumpan Por Mae Look Rongrien (Together we go, we create, we build relationship among parents, children, and school).”
