Personnel of Khon Kaen University Library attended the 8th PULINET National Conference – PULINET 2018, which was under the theme: "Library of Things" organized by Nakhonpanom University Library and the regional library network on January 9-11, 2018 at Fortune Hotel, Nakhonpanom where over 350 people attended. The conference featured oral and poster presentations of 93 projects, 59 being posters and 34 being oral presentations, all of which were examined by experts and so all were reliable and useful for library development and library profession.
The opening ceremony was on January 9, 2018 by President of Nakhonpanom University. This was followed by a talk on Library of Things: Digital Humanities by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kulthida Tuamsuk, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University and on Library of Things: Big Data by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanida Kaen-akat, Director of Khon Kaen University Library.
PULINET National Conference had an aim to organize learning and sharing activities related to information management for service excellence. Participants included library professionals and interested individuals who could learn and exchange experience with one another, build understanding and develop information service systems, especially the university library. The conference provided a venue for presentation of academic work and research under the following 3 topics: (1) management of information, information technology and innovation, (2) information service and customer service, (3) organization administration and knowledge management.
Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoi, Assistant to the Director for Administration led KKU Library staff to the conference and to present 12 topics of work. Two out of these won the prizes as follows:

1. Outstanding award in information service and customer service:
Library Co-creation via Crowdsourcing by Miss Akkarima Summat and Miss Nitiya Chum-apai
2. Outstanding award in organization administration and knowledge management:
Knowledge Management towards Service Innovation in the Library of Thing Era by Mrs. Mukda Duangpim and Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoi and the Knowledge Management Committee.
The awards brought reputation to Khon Kaen University and supports to other staff members in development of library science occupation to catch up with the changes and the needs of customers and to bring the customers utmost satisfaction.
