It is a good chance for our business sector to drive forward business by innovation. Today, innovation is the government’s key strategy policy to propel economic growth of the country. Recently, Thailand organizations have become alert and seen the importance of innovation creation, especially the business organizations where organizational structures have continuously been adjusted to meet the innovation building policy. Lateral thinking and “innovation” become the major economic variables, especially the SMEs, where innovations would lead to competitive advantages. At present, it is also accepted that “innovation” is not only important for business development, but also for development of competitive competence of the country. Each business has its own way to create innovation based on the situation and context. It may be suitable for some business to create product innovation while for other businesses, process innovation or building excellence may be the right answer. All of these depend on many factors: funding, personnel, or time. Therefore, each business should find its mostly appropriate innovation, in order to become the first or leader in that business.”

“I do hope that the knowledge from the conference, whether it’s the strategy or model presented, will be applied as a means to set the policy for propelling innovation in Thai businesses towards competitive capacity. This is the major element that drives forward Thai economy according to the government’s policy,” added Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri.
