November 29, 2018 at Wayupak Room, Centra by Centara Hotel, Jangwatana Official and Convention Center– HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously assigned HRH Princess Somsavali to bestow degree certificates to the graduates from affiliated institutes of Ministry of Public Health: Chiangmai University, Burapha University, Khon Kaen University of Songkhla University, and Mahidol University. Degree conferral was on this occasion also covered those completing graduate diploma program from Public Health Ministry colleges, totaling 741 graduates.
HRH Princess Somsavali kindly gave guidance to the graduates as in the following part, “Knowledge in nursing and public health that the graduates have acquired are very important for public health services. All of you are qualified as health professionals to work for hospitals in all regions of the country. This is in accordance with the goal of the Ministry to have people in each region enroll in the program and return to work at home. The ideal, intellect and responsibility each of you brings to work means that you are efficient personnel who will lead the public health work towards success.”
Khon Kaen University led by President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai; Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowamat Khunlan Thuannadee, Dean of Faculty of Nursing; Asst. Prof. Dr. Daranee Homdee, Deputy Director for Administration and Strategies of Office of Academic Development and Administration and Khon Kaen University lecturers and staff joined the event that also involved Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Khon Kaen (Khon Kaen University’s Affiliated Institute)
Khon Kaen University President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai congratulated the nursing graduates who are now heading towards the valuable work as the social health resort. May each graduate be aware of the roles and responsibilities as a nurse who is full of moral, ethics and will enhance good health among the people.
“Graduates from Khon Kaen University are equipped with knowledge, intellect, and ethics that are the principles of decent conduct and practices and the traits of KKU graduates. You are ready to work for the society, community and from the good nursing foundation obtained at KKU, prepared for life-long learning and social changes. These are the capital that will enable you to work with responsibility and efficiency. May all graduates become successful and work with strong determination and dedication and at the same time maintain the good quality of your life and job.”
Khon Kaen University has answered the policy of Ministry of Public Health to collaborate with Office of Higher Education Commission of Ministry of Education to prepare nursing graduates through the operations of by assisting 6 Nursing Colleges under Phra Borom Raja Chanok Institutes of Office of Public Health Permanent Secretary as Khon Kaen University’s Affiliated Institutes from 1997, namely, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Khon Kaen; Boromarajonani Sappasitthiprasong College of Nursing; Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Ratchasima; Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surin; Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Udonthani; and Srimahasarakham Nursing College. The past collaboration has been successful and met the goal. Khon Kaen University assists in terms of curricular standards and KKU lecturers assist in certifying instructional standards. Thus, the graduates from the colleges possess all the rights and privileges of Khon Kaen University’s degree. There are 741 graduates of 2017 academic year.
