Faculty of Multidisciplinary Sciences holds a workshop on digital urban development for tourism (Part 2)

August 7-8, 2021 at the INNOVATION PARK, Lecture and Laboratory Building 2 – Faculty of Multidisciplinary Sciences, Khon Kaen University Nongkhai Campus, held a workshop and forum on digital urban development for tourism (Part 2). Asst. Prof. Natthaphat Ananteerakul, Assistant to the President for Education and Academic Services presided over the opening ceremony, which took place on the first day. The workshop was aimed at developing instruction and strengthening the students to become digital citizens in the future. It was under the digital urban development for tourism project. The speaker team included Ajarn Wathis Leelaphat, Ph.D., a lecturer of the Engineering Program, Department of Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University: Ajarn Natakorn Pramayan, Ph.D., a lecturer of the Computer Education Program, Faculty of Education of Khon Kaen University; Asst. Prof. Wallapha Wongseelatham, Ph.D., a lecturer of the International Doctorate Program in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Nongkhai Campus. Educators from the 10 network schools attended the workshop, which was organized both on site and online.

The onsite workshop was under strict measures against Covid-19.

The project was aimed at strengthening school students so that they will grow up to be digital citizens in the future. The educators and the youths are expected to be able to efficiently use modern technologies and create innovations that respond to the careers and the society, as well as to apply digital technologies in developing tourism in their communities. The project was carried out by arranging the workshop to enable participating teachers to receive knowledge necessary for digital citizens. Emphasis was given on the design of instruction of calculation science based on Arduino IDE. The participants were expected to be able to efficiently design their instruction by applying digital technologies.
