Students of KKU College of Computing win the second runner up award at the 24th National Software Contest (NSC) 2022

Computing College, KKU congratulates Mr. Kan-anek Ratanasiriprom and Miss Kasama Jaitrong, two 4th year students majoring in Information Technology who won the second runner-up prize from the 24th National Software Contest (NSC) 2022 in the category of educational and learning promotion program, which was at the university student level. The trophy was bestowed upon the two students by Adjunct Professor Anek Laothamatas, Ph.D., Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The awarding was announced on March 14, 2022.

The students’ work was entitled, “Guide Trip”, an application for tourism by the community, using a guiding system developed by the two students, Mr. Kan-anek Ratanasiriprom and Miss Kasama Jaitrong. The work was under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Sumontha Kasemwilas, Ph.D., their advisor.

In addition to the second prize award at the national level from NSC, “Guide Trip Application” for tourism by the community also received an honorable mention award in the category of Digital Technology and Innovation for tourism (The undergraduate student level). The purpose of the contest was for presenting innovations that show the participatory tourism capacity under the new normal lifestyle. The project enhances creative and cultural tourism, development of product and service standards, and was organized by the Special Area Development Organization for Sustainable Tourism (Public Organization), which was held on August 20, 2021.
