Just recently the Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the rankings of the world educational institutions of 2023 on THE website: https://www.timeshighereducation.com. According to the World University Rankings 2023 by subjects, Khon Kaen University is placed in the 601+ range of the world, in the fields of business administration and economics. In Thailand, Khon Kaen University is the 5th out of 7 universities placed under THE. The success has been from the work outcomes and support of the related faculties and organizations, namely, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy (KKBS), the Faculty of Economics, the International College, the College of Graduate Studies in Management, and the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences.
Times Higher Education (THE) is an organization in the United Kingdom that ranks world universities. It is the first organization that evaluates the success of universities around the world, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THE opens for universities that offer undergraduate and higher degree programs to submit information for the ranking. THE began the mission at the international level in 2004. The ranking compiles information and scores each indicator by sending questionnaires to academicians to survey and then collects other data from the universities and related organizations.
The results of rankings within the country in business administration and economics are as follows:
Chiangmai University is ranked in the world’s 501-600 range.
Chulalongkorn University is ranked in the world’s 501-600 range.
Mahidol University is ranked in the world’s 501-600 range.
Khon Kaen University is ranked in the world’s 601-800 range.
Prince of Songkhla University is ranked in the world’s 601-800 range.
Thammasat University is ranked in the world’s 601-800 range.
Kasetsat University is ranked in the world’s 801+ range.
