KKU holds “Dean Charity Concert” – raising funds to assist fragile people in Si Chompoo District, Khon Kaen

Monday January 15, 2024, at 17:00 p.m. – Khon Kaen University organized an activity called,“Dean Charity Concert”, which was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University. The event, held at the tourism farm plots south of the Agricultural Technology Park, Khon Kaen University, was joined by deans, administrators of faculties and colleges, lecturers, staff, news correspondents and distinguished guests.

The event was held only once and for the first time to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Khon Kaen University, and was co-organized by Bayasita Hotel @KKU, all faculties and colleges in Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Musician and Singer Club, and Cheevasilp House.

Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University said, “With Khon Kaen University’s social and community dedication, and the occasion of the University’s reaching the 60th year from the foundation day, this event has been organized for Khon Kaen University people, officers, administrators, and all deans to contribute in the fund raising to assist the community. I do hope the event will achieve all of its objectives.”

 

Mr. Sakda Tonkhotchasan, the Chief District Officer of Si Chompoo District said, “The money and things you have donated today will be sent to the over 17,000 folks of the 11 villages of Donglan Sub-district. The poor people and the fragile families will be the priority. On behalf of Si Chompoo District, I’d like to extend my gratitude to you all. We are impressed with the donation and will use it for our highest benefits.”

 

 

The event featured a lot of activities for visitors to enjoy themselves, at the lovely sunset, with the songs from a lot of artists, such as NAT the Voice and In Darika (Nat In Love), and a number of honorary singers. There was the food zone by BAYA BAZAAR and street-food booths from famous restaurants in Khon Kaen. Anyone who wished to donate money or useful items could still do so at the place. The articles will be sent to poor people and the schools in the area of Donglan Sub-district, Si Chompoo District, Khon Kaen.
