KKU Awards 531 Scholarships Valued at 5.5 Million Baht for Second Semester of Academic Year 2025

The Division of Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, through the Student Development and Alumni Relations Office, in cooperation with various faculties and colleges, has awarded scholarships to Khon Kaen University students who demonstrate good conduct and academic achievement but face financial hardship. For the second semester of the 2025 academic year, a total of 531 scholarships, valued at 5,543,000 baht, have been allocated.

The Scholarship and Alumni Section announced the application period, inviting eligible students from all faculties and academic years to apply for consideration. A total of 1,227 students applied for the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The allocation process focused on Type B (non-continuous) scholarships, which include the ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Scholarship’ commemorating KKU’s 40th anniversary, the ‘Mor Din Daeng Fund Scholarship,’ and various scholarships funded by the proceeds of donations from benevolent individuals.

Additionally, continuous scholarships were provided through the ‘Ama Mall KKU Scholarship Fund.’ Dr. Amornwan Rangkul generously granted three continuous scholarships, totalling 100,000 baht annually, to support students until graduation.

The faculties and colleges conducted initial interviews in January 2026 to screen and allocate scholarships. Subsequently, on 12–13 February 2026, central interviews were held by the Student Development and Alumni Relations Office and the Scholarship Subcommittee to award scholarships valued at 10,000 baht or more. A total of 34 students were selected through this central review process.

The official results of the scholarship allocations will be announced by 18 February 2026 on the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations website (https://sac.kku.ac.th/) and the ‘Khon Kaen University Scholarships’ Facebook page.
