Khon Kaen University Calls for Papers for National Economics Conferences

KHON KAEN – The Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University (KKU) is inviting academics, economists, and graduate students from across the nation to participate in the 19th National Conference of Economists (NCE) and the Graduate Conference in Economics (GCE). The conferences will be held on 2 July 2026 at the University’s Faculty of Economics.

The submission period for research papers and abstracts is open from March 19 to April 30, 2026.

The joint conferences aim to provide a national platform for sharing economic knowledge and research findings. The objectives include enhancing the research capabilities of faculty and graduate students, fostering academic collaboration between institutions, and elevating the quality of Thai economic research to international standards.

    “This year’s 19th NCE and GCE conferences are a key opportunity for academics, economists, and graduate students nationwide to exchange knowledge, present research, and build strong academic networks,” said Associate Professor Dr. Sutin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics. “As the host, the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University is fully prepared to welcome scholars and researchers from all institutions.”

                             The Dean encouraged submissions on a wide range of economic topics, noting that “this platform welcomes diverse and comprehensive economic issues, enabling participants to collectively generate knowledge that contributes to the country’s development across all dimensions.”

Submission guidelines are as follows:

  • Faculty and Economists: May submit either an abstract or a full paper.
  • Graduate Students: Are required to submit a full paper.

Submissions should fall under one of seven thematic areas:

  1. Sustainable Economy, Local Communities, Environment, and Agriculture
  2. Labor Economics, Human Resources, and Industry
  3. ASEAN, the Global Economy, and International Trade and Investment
  4. Political Economy, Institutions, Governance, and Behavioral Economics
  5. Monetary and Fiscal Policy, and Macroeconomics
  6. Creative Economy and Miscellaneous Topics
  7. Greater Mekong Subregion Economy and Contemporary Economic Issues (English Session)

Key dates for the event include the submission deadline on 30 April 2026, with the announcement of accepted papers on 11 June 2026. The conference presentations will take place on 2 July 2026 at the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University.
