The institutional visit focuses on area-based operations and social impact strategies to drive regional community development and sustainable networks.
On 22 May 2026, the Sector of Enterprise and Societal Sustainability at Khon Kaen University, led by Professor Thidarut Boonmars, D.V.M., Ph.D., Vice President for Enterprise and Societal Sustainability, welcomed a senior executive delegation from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University. The visiting delegation included Dr. Thaenphan Senaphan Buamai, Associate Dean for Research and Social Mission, and Mrs. Chutima Swangvaree, Associate Dean for International Relations, Corporate Communication and Academic Services. The visit aimed to study and exchange operational methodologies regarding sustainable enterprises and societal development at Khon Kaen University.

The primary objective of this study visit was to facilitate a mutual exchange of expertise and practical experience in promoting sustainable enterprises, executing area-based operations, and generating tangible social impact. Khon Kaen University highlighted its ongoing initiatives developed in collaboration with multi-sectoral networks and local communities. The Faculty of Liberal Arts at Prince of Songkla University intends to apply these insights and strategies to enhance its academic services, institutional management, and public mission, ensuring greater efficiency and responsiveness to social needs.
Furthermore, both institutions engaged in constructive dialogue regarding academic perspectives, conceptual frameworks, and strategic pathways for building long-term academic networks. By leveraging lessons learned and institutional experiences, both universities aim to formulate collaborative development blueprints for the future. This partnership is expected to elevate the role of higher education institutions in delivering meaningful value to local communities, society, and the nation.

These collaborative activities reflect the core vision of Khon Kaen University as a university dedicated to social development and transformation through cooperation, knowledge exchange, and networking. This initiative directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting lifelong learning opportunities and human resource development; SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by supporting localised development and tangible social impact to improve long-term quality of life; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by establishing robust institutional networks for enduring, balanced, and sustainable societal growth.
