Dean of Public Health Receives Royal Award for Outstanding Contributions to Health Promotion and Environmental Health

 
On 16 March 2026, Professor Wongsa Laohasiriwong, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Public Health at Khon Kaen University, was graciously presented with the 2025 Outstanding Individual Award in Health Promotion and Environmental Health by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The ceremony took place during the 18th National Health Promotion and Environmental Health Conference held at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok.
On the same occasion, Professor Laohasiriwong was also honoured as a distinguished panellist in a discussion on the topic “Success on the Path of Health Promotion and Environmental Health.” He shared his profound knowledge and outstanding operational experiences, reflecting his role as a model for creating and advancing the quality of health promotion work in the nation. The conference was organised by the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, under the theme “Building Sustainable Wellness under Climate Change.”
Receiving this award is a great honour and a source of immense pride for the Faculty of Public Health and Khon Kaen University. It reaffirms the significant contributions Professor Laohasiriwong has made through his dedication to developing public health and environmental health initiatives for the sustainable well-being of the public.
