Khon Kaen, Thailand – The Khon Kaen University Business School and Accountancy (KKBS) has formalised a partnership with Hotel Once Bangkok to better prepare students for professional careers in the hospitality industry.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 24 April 2026*, between the university faculty and Mitrphan Asset Development Co., Ltd., the operator of Hotel Once Bangkok. The agreement aims to equip students to meet the current demands of the industry.
The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from both organisations. Representing KKBS were Assistant Professor Dr. Phongsutthi Punsaen, the Dean of the faculty, and Dr. Pongpan Sattathip, Associate Dean for Industry Relations and Sustainability. Hotel Once Bangkok was represented by its Hotel Manager, Mr. Patcharapol Mahamitr, and Ms. Mattana Yavara from the hotel’s human resources department.

Dean Pongsutti stated that the collaboration focuses on enhancing student skills by integrating academic knowledge with real-world practice. The partnership will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between faculty, staff, and industry experts. A key component of the agreement is providing students with internship opportunities at the hotel, allowing them to gain hands-on professional experience. This training is designed to prepare graduates effectively for careers in business and industry.

This MOU marks a significant step for KKBS in its mission to advance industry-integrated education. The faculty aims to develop students who possess both theoretical knowledge and work-ready skills gained through direct experience. This initiative aligns with the school’s vision to be a leading institution that integrates knowledge and innovation with industry to foster sustainable economic development and produce confident, workforce-ready graduates.
