KKU Unveils Seven Food and Service Centres to Welcome New Students for Academic Year 2026

The Asset Management Centre provides comprehensive dining and lifestyle hubs across the campus to support the student community.

Khon Kaen University (KKU), through its Asset Management Centre, has introduced seven key food and service centres across the campus. This initiative aims to welcome incoming students for the 2026 academic year, ensuring that the new student community can access convenient, high-quality, and comprehensive dining and lifestyle amenities from their very first day on campus.

The seven designated food and service hubs offer a diverse range of facilities, including co-working spaces, convenience stores, and close connectivity to the university’s internal transportation network. Strategically located near faculties and residential zones, these centres are designed to support the daily lives and well-being of students and staff.

 

The seven essential locations comprise the following:

  • Food and Service Centre 2 (Rong Chai): Positioned near Female Dormitories 3 and 26, as well as Male Dormitories 7, 8, and 9, this site serves as a popular student hub. It features a dedicated co-working space, cafes, a Krungthai Bank branch, and a convenience store. The campus Shuttle Bus service operates here from 07:00 to 17:00 hrs.

  • Food and Service Centre 3 (Nong Waeng): Located near the staff flats on the Kangsadal side and Srinagarind Hospital, this centre is renowned for its vibrant morning and evening food markets. It hosts a convenience store, with Shuttle Bus services available during peak hours from 06:00 to 10:00 hrs and 15:00 to 19:00 hrs.

  • Food and Service Centre 4 (Parking Building 1): Situated in a prime location near the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, the Faculty of Education, and the College of Graduate Study in Management. The facility offers diverse food stalls, an integrated parking lot, and a convenience store. Dining services are open until 20:00 hrs, while the parking area remains accessible until 22:00 hrs.

 

  • Golden Jubilee Flea Market (Peat Tai Hor Karn): Located near the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Satit KKU), the Faculty of Law, and the Golden Jubilee Convention Centre. This weekend market offers a comprehensive selection of food, daily necessities, and fashion apparel, operating from Friday to Sunday between 17:00 and 21:00 hrs.

  • Mo Din Daeng Market: A bustling and budget-friendly student landmark famous for its trendy street food. It is situated adjacent to Female Dormitories 1, 2, 13, and 14, as well as the Student First Aid Unit, and is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 hrs.

  • U-Center Food Court: Catering specifically to late-night diners, this centre operates until 03:00 hrs. It is situated near Male Dormitories 9, 10, 11, and 12 in the “Lang Mor” (behind campus) zone and includes a convenience store.

  • General Lecture and Basic Skills Development Building Food Court: This clean and accessible facility serves the central lecture zone. Located near the International College, the Faculty of Economics, the College of Local Administration, and the Poj Sarasin Building, it operates from 07:00 to 16:00 hrs.
