Faculty of Education, KKU Holds Scholarship Contract Signing Ceremony for “Kru Rak Thin” Project, Cohort 6

On 14 June 2026, the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University organized the scholarship contract signing ceremony for the “Educational Opportunity Enhancement Project for Students in Remote Areas to Become New-Generation Teachers for Community School Development (Kru Rak Thin Project), Cohort 6” at Saisuree Jutikul Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University. The event brought together scholarship recipients, parents, faculty members, and representatives from the Equitable Education Fund (EEF).

The ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Issara Kanjak, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, who congratulated the 30 students selected to receive the scholarships and encouraged them to take pride in the opportunity they had earned.

In his opening remarks, the Dean stated:

“You should be proud of being selected through this rigorous process. I encourage you to uphold the scholarship agreement and university regulations, and strive to become teachers with integrity, professionalism, and a true teaching spirit, ready to return and contribute to the development of education in your hometown communities.”

He further emphasized that the Kru Rak Thin Project serves as an important mechanism in creating educational opportunities for youth in remote areas by nurturing high-quality teachers equipped with knowledge, morality, and a strong commitment to serving their local communities. The project ultimately aims to reduce educational inequality and sustainably improve the quality of community schools.

The event also featured orientation and scholarship agreement briefings conducted by EEF representatives, including Asst. Prof. Bongkotrat Lamloet, Ph.D. and Asst. Prof. Thanya Rujisethiansap, Ph.D., before participants proceeded with the official scholarship contract signing process.

The Kru Rak Thin Project is a collaborative initiative dedicated to producing capable and compassionate teachers who will return to serve in their hometown schools, strengthening local communities and contributing to equitable and sustainable educational development across Thailand.
