Faculty of Technology Hosts ‘Food Product Innovation Contest 2025’ to Translate Future Food Ideas into Sustainable National Development

           On 25 November 2025, the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, successfully organised the “3rd Food Product Innovation Contest.” The opening ceremony was honoured by the presence of Associate Professor Pensri Jaroenwanit, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, who presided over the event. Assistant Professor Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, delivered the project report. They were joined by Assistant Professor Pimpanipa Hiranras, Head of the Department of Food Technology, faculty members, university personnel, students, and numerous competing teams from across the nation at the Fueang Fa Room, Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University.

          The competition winners were selected by a panel of three distinguished judges: Assistant Professor Yardrung Mawongwai (Faculty of Agriculture), Assistant Professor Krisada Prachumrasri (College of Local Administration), and Assistant Professor Nattthawong Fueangphaiboon (Faculty of Technology).

        The awards ceremony was honoured by the attendance of Mr. Prem Subboonlertma, Sustainability and Corporate Relations Manager at CP Axtra Public Company Limited, who presented the awards to the winning teams in both contest categories. This cooperation marks another significant step in strengthening students’ potential and advancing food innovation development in Thailand.

The competition was divided into two categories:

  1. Junior Category: For high school/vocational certificate students, under the theme “Zero Food Waste – Food Innovation from Surplus Fruits and Vegetables.”
  2. Campus Category: For undergraduate/higher vocational certificate students, under the theme “Future Food Innovation for Well-being.”

         The Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, extends its congratulations to all teams that submitted their creative work this year. Every idea showcased reflects a new perspective on future food and contributes to the push for sustainable Zero Food Waste and Well-being Food concepts
