KKU Dental Students and Alumni Receive Esteemed Awards at 120th Dental Association of Thailand Conference

10 December 2025 – Students and alumni from the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), achieved national recognition by receiving prestigious awards at the 120th Academic Conference of the Dental Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage.

Ms. Tharnporn Phichayathada, a sixth-year dental student, was honoured with the Luang Wachawitthayawat Award for the academic year 2025. This highly valuable award is presented to individuals who demonstrate excellent conduct, outstanding academic results, and possess attributes that meet the criteria for distinction in the dental profession.

In parallel, Dr. Thanaphat Thanomdamrongsak, an alumnus from the 40th cohort, received the Excellent Ethics Bachelor of Dental Surgery Graduate Award for the academic year 2024. This accolade is granted by the Professor Itsara–Dr. Khanobphan Yuktanand Fund and is presented to graduates who exemplify upright conduct, high ethical standards, and unwavering commitment to professional principles.

The Academic Conference of the Dental Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage is held annually, marking its 120th instalment. The conference serves as a vital platform for dental professionals to exchange knowledge on modern science and technology, and to apply concepts efficiently to the administration and development of their practices. The event saw widespread participation from academics, distinguished experts, and dental professionals from across the country.
