The Office of Academic Service (OAS), in collaboration with the Graduate School, Khon Kaen University, organised an In-House Training workshop titled “Using Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx for Executives and Supervisors)” for the Faculty of Information and Communication, Maejo University. The event took place from 16 to 17 March 2026 at the Dusita Conference Room, 5th Floor, Office of Academic Service, Khon Kaen University, attended by the Faculty’s executives and supervisors.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Somkiat Chaipiboon, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication, Maejo University, led the executive team, including supervisors and office directors, to participate in the training. This reflects a firm commitment to developing the unit towards excellence. Associate Professor Chaipiboon stated that his intention for this training was for supervisory-level personnel to learn simultaneously, enabling them to drive the Faculty forward in a unified direction. This initiative serves as a crucial starting point for laying the EdPEx foundation for the Faculty before the completion of his term, ensuring that future executives can continue organisational development towards challenging goals, such as achieving the EdPEx 300 level within three years.
The training was honoured by the presence of Professor Kiatichai Faksri, Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School, Khon Kaen University, a distinguished expert in educational quality criteria for performance excellence. Serving as the primary lecturer throughout the two-day session, Professor Faksri transferred intense and comprehensive knowledge and experience, enabling participants to concretely apply the concepts for maximum organisational effectiveness.
The curriculum covered all dimensions of organisational development towards excellence, ranging from understanding the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) for 2024–2027 to leadership roles and core concepts for implementation. Topics included analysing the Organization Profile (OP), techniques for applying tools from each category in actual operations, and designing results that clearly and efficiently reflect performance and organisational excellence. Participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through workshop activities, fostering deep understanding and confidence for further application.
This project was conducted as an In-House Training, a specialised academic service by the Office of Academic Service, Khon Kaen University, designed to tailor curricula to the specific context and needs of each organisation.
