Faculty of Medical Technology, Khon Kaen University, Launches “Young Scientist” Camp to Inspire Youth Towards Becoming New-Generation Scientists

The Faculty of Medical Technology organized a scientific research training project, The Young Scientist Camp. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jureerut Daduaeng, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technology, presided over the opening ceremony. The event, held at the Faculty of Medical Technology, Khon Kaen University, on March 10, 2026, was attended by faculty members, staff of the Faculty of Medical Technology, and over 128 high school students and teachers from Triamudomsuksa School, Northeastern Region.

The objectives of this scientific research training project, The Young Scientist Camp, are to provide students with opportunities to learn and gain real experience in health sciences, enhance their knowledge, understanding, and inspiration in health sciences, and promote relationship building and knowledge exchange among students from various schools, leading to the development of youth potential in science in the future.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jureerut Daduaeng, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technology, Khon Kaen University, stated that the Faculty of Medical Technology is delighted to welcome students and teachers from Triamudomsuksa School, Northeastern Region, to participate in “The Young Scientist Camp.” This activity aims to create a learning space in health sciences for youth to gain real-world experience in laboratories and get to know the fields of study that play a crucial role in the country’s public health system.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Technology further added that The Young Scientist Camp project designed activities that allow participants to learn both theoretical and practical aspects through activity bases and knowledge sharing from expert personnel of the faculty. This is to spark scientific interest, promote systematic thinking, and inspire youth to see more clearly the educational pathways in health sciences.

“The Faculty of Medical Technology believes that providing opportunities for youth to learn from real experiences will help build essential skills and perspectives for their future self-development. We sincerely hope that this activity will be another starting point to inspire these young people to become vital forces in the country’s scientific and healthcare systems,” she said.

The project is scheduled to take place on March 10, 2069, at the Faculty of Medical Technology, Khon Kaen University. Activities include lectures, workshops, and learning base activities such as “Mini Med Lab: Learning Urine Sediment Examination like a Medical Technologist,” “Learning Clinical Chemistry Experiments,” “Explore the World of Physical Therapy,” “A Wonder of Nature (Traditional Chinese Medicine),” and concludes with recreational activities to enhance scientific knowledge.
