The award-winning research on online learning analytics underscores Khon Kaen University’s commitment to advancing educational innovation on the international stage.
Researchers from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at Khon Kaen University (KKU) have achieved international recognition at the 5th International Conference on Educational System Management Leadership (ICESML 2026). Associate Professor Niphaphorn Thaweethan of the Department of Applied Science, alongside co-researcher Associate Professor Phatthariya Lasunon of the Department of Technology and Engineering, successfully presented their research and secured a prestigious presentation award at the summit.
The international conference was held from 29 to 30 May 2026 under the theme “Building Global Education Futures through Intercultural Leadership”. The event took place at the Duangduen Bisalputra Meeting Room, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. Aimed at driving the future of global education through cross-cultural leadership, the conference attracted over 300 participants, including senior executives, distinguished experts, faculty members, scholars, students, school administrators, and educational representatives from both national and international organisations.
The KKU research team stood out for their presentation entitled “Evidence from Learning Analytics in the Plant Bioactive Extraction Practical Science Online Course”. Because the study directly addresses the demands of digital-era education, combined with an engaging presentation format and highly effective communication, the work was officially awarded the Best Poster Presentation.
This success serves as a clear testament to the high academic potential and dedication of the research team from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. It also aligns directly with Khon Kaen University’s broader institutional mission to elevate educational quality, foster cutting-edge research and innovation, and strengthen its recognized academic presence on a global scale.
