The award-winning research on online learning analytics underscores Khon Kaen University’s commitment to advancing educational innovation on the international stage.
Researchers from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at Khon Kaen University (KKU) have received international recognition at the fifth International Conference on Educational System Management and Leadership (ICESML 2026). Assoc. Prof. Niphaphorn Thaweethan of the Department of Applied Science, alongside co-researcher Assoc. Prof. Phatthariya Lasunon of the Department of Technology and Engineering, presented their research and secured the Best Poster Presentation award.
The conference was held from 29 to 30 May 2026 under the theme “Building Global Education Futures through Intercultural Leadership”. It took place at the Duangduen Bisalputra Meeting Room, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, and attracted over 300 participants, including senior executives, academics, faculty members, scholars, students, school administrators, and educational representatives from Thai and international organisations.
The KKU research team was recognised for their presentation entitled “Evidence from Learning Analytics in the Plant Bioactive Extraction Practical Science Online Course”. The study addresses the demands of education in the digital era and was commended for both its content and the clarity of its delivery, earning the team the Best Poster Presentation award.
The achievement reflects the academic rigour and dedication of the research team from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, and aligns with Khon Kaen University’s commitment to educational quality, research, innovation, and its growing international academic profile.
