On June 16, 2025, the International Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University hosted the International Student Orientation for the First Semester of Academic Year 2025 at Sirikunakorn 3 Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building. The event was honored by welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Atcharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs.
The orientation aimed to foster engagement, cultural exchange, and networking among international students from various countries. It also introduced students to key university services and support units, including the International Affairs Division, the Graduate School, the Office of Academic Administration and Development, the Office of Digital Technology, the Central Library, KKU Primary Care Services, and the Office of Sports.
A special session titled “International Student Talk & Share” concluded the event, where representatives from international student clubs shared their personal experiences and insights about life at KKU.
Currently, Khon Kaen University is home to over 700 international students. The orientation featured a warm, friendly, and vibrant atmosphere, underscoring the university’s ongoing commitment to internationalization.
In the afternoon, students joined the KKU Campus Tour, giving them a chance to explore the university’s lush and green campus, learn about important campus locations, and familiarize themselves with key support offices. Most participants found the tour highly beneficial and memorable.
Students also expressed appreciation for the university’s modern facilities, such as the KKU Smart Transit Service, as well as the academic and personal support provided by fellow students, faculty members, and staff who were always ready to offer guidance and assistance.
