The Faculty of Economics and the Economics Association of Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with 8 leading economics institutions nationwide, invite everyone to participate in the 19th National Conference of Economists and Graduate Students in Economics, under the theme “The Economics of Cooperation in a Volatile World: Geoeconomics, AI, New Rules, and the Future of GMS.” The event will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University.

The 19th National Conference of Economists and Graduate Students in Economics is organized through the collaboration of the Faculty of Economics and the Economics Association of Khon Kaen University, along with 8 leading economics institutions: Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, National Institute of Development Administration, Prince of Songkla University, Ramkhamhaeng University, Srinakharinwirot University, and Thammasat University. The objective is to provide a platform for economists to exchange knowledge, apply it to organizational management and teaching, encourage graduate students in economics to present their theses and disseminate research to the public, and offer opportunities for students, academics, and faculty members to broadly exchange knowledge, opinions, and experiences in economics.

Associate Professor Dr. Sutin Wiwiat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University, stated, “This year’s 19th National Conference of Economists is held under a highly relevant and timely theme, amidst the volatility of the current global economy. This includes dimensions such as Geoeconomics, changes in AI technology, new international trade and investment rules, and the future of economic development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). These are all issues that every economist and academic should collectively study, analyze, and systematically address.”
